At Jittery Coffee Cup Roasters, we roast our specialty, gourmet,
world-class coffees fresh daily. We are
a micro-roastery, roasting small batches at a time, located in Birmingham,
Alabama and ship all across the United States.
We sell retail our gourmet coffee through our website which include
single origin coffees, blends, and flavored coffee. We offer the same coffees at wholesale prices
at five pound minimums.
At Jittery Coffee Cup we offer private label options. “Private Label” is when we take your logo or
information and make a custom label to put on our bags, allowing you to retail
them at your establishment, or give away as promotional products. Private labels are offered in 4oz and 12oz
bags. Private labels are not reserved just
for coffee shops and coffee houses.
We private labeled bags for churches, weddings, businesses, real estate
agents, organizations, the options are limitless. It’s a great way to get your information out
there (name, phone number, website, hours of operation, etc) and also give a
great product to your customers or clients.
Jittery Coffee Cup Roasters began when owner Michael Brown
began seeking out ways to get and drink the best gourmet coffees he could. He took his appreciation and passion for great
coffee to a new level when he started roasting his own beans from various
importers. After years of perfecting his
skills, his friends, family, and coworkers started asking for more and
more. Eventually Michael had to start
charging for his coffee and had to decide what to call it.
The name of the business refers to the logo, the coffee cup
with accent or action marks around it, implying that it is jittery or a little
“wired” from way too much coffee. Some
people have asked, “Will all your coffee make me jittery?” When asked, Michael said, “We don’t roast our
coffee to be the boldest, blackest coffee.
Quite the opposite, we roast each coffee to the degree which complements
its unique flavor profile. We do offer
bold coffees for those who like stronger cups but we do not burn our beans just
for the sake of offering bold. If you
drink enough of it, sure you’ll feel some jitters!”
The logo used today is a modern, cleaner version of a sketch
that Michael would mindlessly scribble when taking notes in class. Michael has thought about and attempted to
change the logo to a more “modern” or sleek looking design, but the
overwhelming response was immediate; leave it as its original conception!
In January 2008, Jittery Coffee Cup Roasters was born and a
website was created which has undergone several overhauls since its original
debut. Within a year Jittery Coffee Cup
Roasters had a steady following of dedicated buyers, two wholesale accounts,
and a demand that was hard to keep up with on the original one pound
roaster. Now Jittery Coffee Cup Roasters
is branching out into wholesale sales and has many exciting things planned for
